Artist's Comments

EDIT: Now available as a print!

I found this picture one day, and it was just begging to be drawn. Honestly, the little voices told me. The little voices... Marina is dusting the window frame... the window frame...

Um, sorry.

Yeah, drew this.. today. Took about 3.. no, more like 4 hours. Ah, Noel Fielding and Julian Barratt, you strange strange people. How I love you.

Markers on marker paper, touched up with 0.1 fineliner and white watercolour paint, and background (what there is of it) added in Photoshop.

'Ah, my arm, it crumbles as if it were cracker bread...'

you're way too good at this i swear =O

how much did you practice before you got your drawings how you liked them?
:iconforeverdelayed:
Um... hm, well, I only started with markers last year, on my college course. I dont really practise pictures before I do them, I just set out and see what happens! I picked it up quite quickly, thankfully, but i generally do with artistic stuff. Its a gift :) I use markers because I can get a piece done really quickly. Which is why my pencil work is suffering a little. Need to keep practising....

thanks for the comment!

i don't draw realism much myself and why i do it takes me so much time

like check my drawing "uugh" when you have some time

was a self portrait that took forever ;_;
:iconforeverdelayed:
self portraits are horrible. Mine was. Ugh indeed.

Im assuming that your portrait was bigger than your scanner. I hate putting my pictures back together. What program do you use?

i used photoshop to put it together

but i was too lazy to clean it up >.>

and yeah, portrait was like 21 x 20 or something
:iconforeverdelayed:
ah, photoshop is a wondrous wondrous thing that I could not survive without...

*a moment of silence for the wondrousness that is photoshop*

Its good.

I think you should clean it up. Its a good picture, nice shading. It'll look even better cleaned up :)

augh.
you're goin down.
something about the minimalistic, utilitarianism of your work...
even though it borders on the photorealistic.
i need to start using markers.
